Moorakke Mukthaya

Third semester!
Its over!
I have been in IIT for a year and half.... er!? A year and a half ??? I cant believe this !

Being in THE ELEC department of IIT Madras which is know far and wide for its "RODness", I knew what to expect and what not to. Or I thought I knew it, till the semester started to gear up and THE ELEC department started to show its ramifications in RODness. Only then did I realise what the ELEC EFFECT actually is.

The three departmental courses that I did in this semester were
• 1 Digital systems
• 2 Network System
• 3 CAD laboratory.

Digital Systems: EC104
It was taken by Prof. Vekatesh and Prof. Ravishankar. The course teaches you the philosophy of life. There are only two states in this world, 0 and 1, everything else is an illusion.
The course seemed all fair and fine till i held quiz 1. A ' (complement) completely complemented my life in the course. At the end of the day, knowing that the grading is binary too, huh!.... er.... there are only two states.

Network systems: EC204
Prof. Vinita taught us how to be punctual. I never believed that I, Ramya K V, can ever be "in time" to a class. Me?? er... I cant believe this! I am the kind who wakes up ten minutes before a class and barely manage to get inside the classroom before the Professor.
All through the semester we bulbed and bulbed and bulbed. Prof.VV had to give up on us finally. Can you imagine, a class of >40 odd ppl, all yet to be Electrical Engineers from IIT Madras, having done a 4 credit course on Electro-Magnetic Circuits in the previous semester, did not know what "Natural Frequency" means till almost the end of this course?
Finally we did manage to transforme almost everything on the way. Being non-causal, non-linear and time variant, I too finally managed to Fourier transform Laplace!

CAD laboratory: EC205
The Programming Laboratory. Its fun, yeah! fun, you see. Really, I did enjoy programming. But beware of this course!! This One Credit course can potentially take away all your happiness in life.
I got scared! Yes, literally I got scared. I never thought that I shall love Programming so much in life that I will pack everything else and sit crazily in front of the machine and become a machine myself. This is not I want to do in life, I knew it, yet this bloody thing was not leaving me. Thank God finally I did manage to pull myself out of the "Paapakoopa" (The Cursed Place) **.

Despite the heavy load, Elec Rocks!!

The "other" courses during the semester were:
• 4 MA205
• 5 AM110
• 6 ID120
• 7 BT101
• 8 HS509

Probability And Random Processes: MA205
This is one of the courses I thoroughly enjoyed, especially at the end of the semester. Prof. Natarajan was quite good. Though, he was not so audible, mike helped out.
Having no fundae on permutation and combinations, I had to start with the basic concepts of counting. Moving on from counting to Probability to Random Variables to the Stochastic Processes was an amazing journey. Also we learnt how to read any kind of handwriting :P

Engineering Mechanics: AM110
The subject so dear to me became the most hateful course this semester. Certain Professor V took the course , huh!! My hard luck. I never thought I could ever not like er... actually hate a Professor to this extent in my life.
I am done with the course. That is it. Period.

Ecology and Environment: ID120
Thanks to the Supreme Court of India. We had to sit and bare with this course for two hours per week and give two exams. Well, we need to be concerned with the environment. Yes. I agree completely, but does that mean that I have to sit in a class of ~552, spread across three rooms, with Professors and Teaching Assistants patrolling around in the class room? Well, its over.

Life Sciences: BT101
Thanks to the Supreme Court of India again. We had to again sit for two hours per week and give two exams. The lessons that we were made to study were all interesting. But why don't they understand that we do not have 48 hours a day to sit and read Campbell. I can potentially give a Medical Entrance test now.
And yeah, its over too.

Accounting For Social Sciences: HS509
The one and only course that I enjoyed all through the semester. Prof. Umakant Dash was GOD!! If it was not for this course, I guess I would have been insane by now. The delicacy of accounting, its intricate nature were made all so easy by the professor.
The only formula that we needed to know was Assets= Liabilities+Owner's Equity !
The Balance sheet, the Income Statements and the Cash flow statements seem so cute and nice now! The business news pages in The Hindu has started to make sense :)

**P.S: I have nothing against Programmers! This is my personal point of view.

avalokana

Its been more than five months that I wrote a blog.
Have I had nothing to say at all?
Being fresh at the beginning of the semester after my first trip to the North (Delhi, Agra, Shimla and Manali), my first ever flight journey, first experience on Rajdhani Express, first trip on a toy train. Experiencing the “Elec” effect. The experience of being a coordinator in Shaastra. And the whole lot of philosophy of life, which can potentially make a book. Huh!! In fact I had so much to jot down. Then why didn't I write? Good question... Why didn't I write anything?
It was sheer laziness.
Was it mere laziness?? Or I was heading towards a confinement?
Oh! No... that seems scary.
But yeah, I am back, with a fresh open mind [ :) ]

And now I sit, when it is five minutes before the clock strikes 12, desperately trying to analyse what went wrong... and write this and upload it before the Internet is turned off!! My fire fox bulbs... I have force quit it four times in a minute... [ :( ] All to post this...

Huh... Error !! [:( ]

Well.. still putting fight to post this.

P.S: Finally I did manage to post something which looked very vague due to the error in what so ever it was. And hopefully nobody read it until I managed to edit it.

NenapugLa saramaale....

A lost feeling,
A gloomy day,
A dark surrounding,
A pensive mood.

Sitting by the window,
I open the my inner mind,
To recollect the memories,
The happy ones and the sad ones,
From all the nooks and corners.

The droplets of the first rain,
The fragrance of the wet mud,
The lighting and thunder,
The areca-nut trees around, so tall and sleek,
The chirping of insects,
The bite from the leech,
The echoes from the hills,
The stories from granny,
The pranks I played,
The mischievous grin,
The innocent smiles,
The games I played around in muddy ground,
The fighting with siblings and pals,
The stage where I danced,
The swing on which I soared,
The punishments for chattering in class,
The tantalizing childhood,
The letters from my friends far away,
The album full of cherished images.

They bring me joy,
A new turn to the stagnant life,
A new ray of hope when the sun sets,
With fresh mind
And a lot of enthusiasm I start the new life :)

EshTond coursu !!!!

The courses I did in my first semester:

CS110 – 3 credits

PH101– 3 credits

CY101– 3 credits

MA101– 3 credits

PMT– 2 credits.

ID110– 2 credits

WS101– 2 credits

PH103– 1 credits

CY103– 1 credits

Did I miss any one? Was that enough for a semester??

CS110:

Aah!! The most peaceful and nicest of all the courses I had in first semester or rather of all courses I gonna do. It is probably the only course about which I did not crib :P . The feed back system was awesome. The answers to some of the questions were hilarious.

The following are some FAQs (Funnily Answered Questions):

Student’s Question: “I was sleeping on the last bench so, I couldn’t

enjoy the class.”

Kama’s Response: Sorry that I could not provide you a pillow. I shall

try to do the same next time, but for that I need to know your Name

and/or Roll Number.

Student’s Question: You have to be more energetic, please move

around the class.

Kama’s Response: The camera has to be more energetic. It cannot

move beyond some angle. If it can rotate then why walk - I am ready

to fly around.

Student’s Question: I was feeling sleepy, slept at 2.00am. Watching

Taare Zameen Par with friends. Classic movie!!!

Kama’s Response: So you again slept at 10.00am without watching

”CS110 deevaar Par” with friends. Classic Course yaar!!!

Student’s Question: dnim reveN

Kama’s Response: ?tahW

Student’s Question:

(a) I was feeling sleepy.

(b) No Comments. I was asleep.

Kama’s Response: Rock-a-bye student on the desk top;

when the teacher talks all thy dreams rock;

when the quiz comes;

nightmares befall;

down will come student;

CGPA and all.

PH101:

It was a course with divergence :P. I never could understand where I headed through this course. Till the end I curled and curled around to find what gradient meant. Finally I did manage to get some feel of del, the “del, del_dot and del_cross”.

CY101:

H | Ψ>= E | Ψ>

Er… !??

What’s this | > ? May be the Prof Writes ( ) as | >

This is what I concluded after the first class of CY101, the “Quantum Course”. The Professor (Prof. Chandrakumar) was really awesome on teaching. It was slightly flying above my head initially. But gradually it became the most favorite part of the course.

Next was the Thermodynamics and kinetics part of the course. Seemed quite familiar but was not so! But I enjoyed the jokes of from Prof and the stories of the scientist, that’s all I heard in his class and a result I cupped in it royally. My wonderful ability of sleeping with my eyes open helped a lot to deceive the Prof (he caught me in the last class though).

MA101:

The most difficult of all math courses (according to the students). The certain Piskunov (piski being the pet name) is the “Bible”. The certain Prof. K is never convinced that students study. He believes that we all have “Lost the train”. The class average in the quizzes was not encouraging too (4.25 out of 20!!!). We were getting used to see the single digits on the answer papers by then. After RKK’s zero (I managed to pull off a 2 in that, details later in ID110 : P) we were hardly shaken by these binary numbers.

We got entangled in the series of convergence and got diverged sequentially. Integration never seemed so difficult a topic before this course. Everything seemed crystal clear, so obvious. Of course nothing is obvious in Mathematics; you need to prove even 2+2=4. That’s quite hard, I know; everyone knows after MA101 experience.

We had certain Prof. Jayanthan, a quite interesting man. He has an orkut profile; his homepage is interesting as well. Mathematics being my first love, I enjoyed the class as well as the course.

EP110 (PMT- Professional Major Theory :P )

It was a fun course too. No exams!!! There were lectures by various Profs. I attended all of them. But to be honest, I slept through most of them. The presentations for evaluations were really very useful. I learnt a lot in the process.

Even after attending all the classes we ended up getting a G (G-good. VG- Very good. M-Marginal) for attendance.

ID110:

An Introduction to Engineering Design.

It was a combination of several lectures by different professors. We got to listen to a range of topics. We got to know how CD player, projector works; about electrochemical cells to airplanes. Yup… we even came to know that we are 98% bananas!!!

Some of the lectures were interesting to the core while others were sleeping pills. The ones in the virtual class were blissfully snoring while the ones in real class were no better! But there were TA’s who often disturbed the peaceful sleep (to sign the attendance).

What else can they do with 550 students? One class has the Prof, while the other two can “see” and “here” (if one wishes) the Prof. That’s what I meant by the “Real” and the

Virtual” class.

The projects were fun. All was not well there though. Hmmnn…. Well that may require a separate dedicated post.

WS101:

It’s the time you get Hands on experience.

Electronics WS: soldering. It was nice to blacken the PCBs :P

The sir was peace maxx.

Electrical WS: “Wires and Pliers” – one of the joyful and full of fun workshop. You bend and bend the wire and light the “BULB” : P

Turning: It was quite peaceful too.

Fitting: People think it’s the toughest of all workshops. But I liked it. It was so much fun in filing and cutting metal pieces. How proud you will be once you see the job you have done!! I even kulted the job pieces (not the main one! The part which I hack sawed :P)

CY103:

Chemistry lab. I enjoyed it very much. The experiments were quite interesting and spanned all parts of chemistry. The TAs were good and explained things clearly. It was real fun!!

PH103:

It’s the physics lab. The experiments were well chosen. But the lab evaluation was much to be questioned. We soon realized that Honesty was not the Best Policy here. That’s where students learnt to do the “Best fitting curve”, “Reverse experimentation” and “Value fixation.” We ended up learning lot of “general stuff”.

Janana maraNa noondaNiyalli nagehonalu

I went to the Municipal Office, birth and death registration office. I needed to get my father’s death certificate.

The man who is supposed to issue the death certificates was standing outside. I said, “Sir, I need the death certificate of father”. “Is it registered? Have you used the certificate before?”. “Yes sir.” “Do you have a copy of it?” “No, sir”. “Ok. But it will be difficult to search. Come in”.

That was a narrow passage leading to a room. The passage had three tables! He asked, “How many years ago did he die?”

“Recently, sir.7th January 2008”

“Well. Hey Mr.B, take that register for January 2007.”

“Sir, 2008.”

“Oh. Mr.B, not 2007. take that Jan 2008. ”

Now let us call the first man as Mr. A.

B: Madam, what’s the date?

Me: 7th January. Name is V.T.Hegde.

Mr. B searches for about 20minutes.

B: How many months is the baby?

[What the heck?? Baby?? He is checking birth records. Damn!! He searches 20 minutes in a wrong record file! ]

Me: Sir, I am asking for death certificate of my father.

B: Oh. Well.

[He opens the death record file and starts searching. Mean while there comes a man, lets call him X, Muslim I guess as he was talking in Hindi. The officials were replying in Kannada. It was an amusing case.]

X: Birth certificate chahiye sir. Naam *****. (I need a birth certificate. Name is *****)

A: Yaavaga huttidu? (When was the child born)

X: Dus tarik ko. (tenth)

A: TingaLu? (month? )

X: Che barasko char mahina kum. (Four months less for six years.)

[What the heck? Doesn’t even know the date of birth of the child and comes to get the birth certificate of the child that too born some six years ago. This was the expression of Mr.A]

A: allari. Dinakka noorau makkaLu huTTutve. Ond tingalige eshT dappa file aagatte. neevu aar varshad hindindu date gottilde certificate kodi andre ellinda huDkona?

(What is this sir? Hundreds of children take birth every day. One month’s record itself is a huge file. You are asking the certificate of a child born six years ago without knowing the date of birth? How should we search? )

X: dus tarik sir. Che barasko char mahina kum.

[ WTF? Says the same thing again? This was the look from people around.]

[There comes another man, say Y. He came to register a birth.]

Y: Sir, please register the birth.

A: Name, sir?

Y: xxxxxx.

A: Not your's sir. The child’s.

Y: Don’t know sir.

A: Er..?

Y: There are four five names sir. We have not yet confirmed.

A: Ok. Film actors hesarigenu baragalve? (Is there famine for film actor’s name?)

[ He was pissed by these kind of cases]

A: Don’t keep old names I say. Don’t keep those Huchhappa, Ramappa, Bhimappa. Keep some modern name. Btw is the child yours?

Y: No sir. My sister’s child. That’s why there is delay. If it was mine I would have decided.

A: Okay. Tell your sister and brother-in-law to decide soon. Tell me the details now.

Y: Sir, write Adrushta (meaning: luck.).

A: Leave the child’s name. Tell other details.

[That continued. There were many more people waiting. There was a old lady waiting to get her son’s death certificate. I could see here wet eyes.]

B: I found the details. Give an application and pay Rs.25. Come at four in the evening.

Me: Ok, sir.

There was list of births and deaths per year ,I guess.

Birth: 2500 to 3500

Death: 200 to 400.

Oh my god!! The figures clearly depicted the increase in birth rate and decrease in death rate. What’s going to happen to this country?

NOODI SWAMI NAAVIRODE HIGE!!! Anka !! :

Thud!!! Holidays again. Now that I am free to do what I want :)

As usual I saw zillion movies, ate, read and talked unlimitedly. Bored by these activities finally I decided to continue the documentation of the memories of my first year in IITM.

I am not a “freshie” any more. As I stack my first year stuffs neatly, so as to pass them on as heritage to my juniors (of course after PDP sessions), I recall my first year in the institute.

After the first few days of Personality development sessions (PDP sessions- a “cleaner” name for ragging), we started getting along with each other. Classes!!

Classes at 8 a.m. First few weeks saw high activity in the wing bogs early in the morning. When my fellow mates in the wing woke up as early as 5 am (Info from friends -no clue if anyone woke up before), I was peacefully rolling on my bed. I had calculated well. I am not going to wake up before 7:15 am. How much time would this girl who used to manage to get to the classroom at 8 am in 12th even while waking up at 7:45 am require to get ready? Mind you, I used to get to class just in time or some five minutes late, but after completing all the morning “work”(which includes bathing :P ) and also after having Breakfast! So it should not be difficult here in IITM too. Slowly and steadily as time went on, the early morning activity in the wing slowly decreased. The time of waking up of my wing mates exponentially decreased, but I maintained my constant 7:15 am.

We used to have classes from 8am to 5pm, with some slots free here and there. “Slots”, this reminds me of the difficulty we faced in figuring out how to read our time table. The time table given to us looked like :

It looked like a great puzzle to us. We had no clue from where to start reading this table. The “Code Breaking” work started. With the curriculum book in one hand and the time table in another, I sat down for a couple of hours. Eureka!!! I got it!!! Finally I managed to read the “da IITM code”!!!

Coming back to the classes, first few days were really boring for we did not have any classes. All that we ended up doing was moving from one class room to another. How would this happen in IITM? No classes for two days? What a waste! The third day the classes kick started. With in two days the classes were at full swing. With enormous courses in front of us, we got the shock of IITM curriculum. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering Design, Professional Major Theory, Physics Lab, Chemistry Lab and Workshop, did I miss any? Was this enough for a semester!?

IIT=Institute of Infinite Tension.

True, it is true!!! With MA101 and CY101, we got the heat of IIT.

There started the Acads!!!

///NOODI SWAMI NAAVIRODE HIGE….!!!!

P.S: First part in NOODI SWAMI NAAVIRODE HIGE!!! Anka !. sorry for non-digs. Trying to translate it :P

NenapinangaLadinda...

I remember the poem "Mera naya bachpan" by Subhadra Kumari Chauhan which we did in class 6th...and also again in 9th i guess.
The poet yearns to get back to her innocence of childhood again. To be honest i had not got the funda why poet wants to get back then. I did not really understand my teacher's words as how she too wants to live her childhood again...

I wanted to grow up then so that
> i wont have to give oral exam for every test :P
>no more learning of spellings for dictation.
>need not have to do home work ;P
>need not have to get punished with writing the poem ten times along with x,y,z punishments for talking in the class ;D
> need not have to write copy writing again.
and so on and so forth........... All silly reasons i used to crib at!!

But now i realize what it is to be grown up. The innocence, carefree and stress free life of childhood!! All those memories tantalizingly flash upon my mind. Making me crave for those days again!!

"Baar baar aathi hai mujhko madhur yaad bachpan teri
Gaya le gaya tu jeevan ki sabase mast khushi meri

.....................
.....................

Aaja bachpan ek baar phir de de apani nirmal shaanti
Vyakul vyatha miThane wali vah apani prakruth vishranti

..................... "

I want to get back to those magical days... mesmerizing memories !!

P.S: Those who want the entire poem can check this out

Antarangada mrudanga....antu tomtanana....

It happened! It happened!! It indeed happened!!! Finally it did happen!!

After all such long desperate wait did not go in vain ……

It had been my dream from six months. A wish which had rooted deep within me. There came so many precious moments wherein I could have spelt out my wish. But alas! It never materialized. I remember the starry night in October 2007, when it was so close to happen. I was delighted. A bright glow in my eyes, a faint smile on my face. How desperate I was! How desperate to smell the fragrance! To feel fresh! To begin a new life! But it did not come true. My hopes were lost. I was completely shattered. I never thought a joyful moment will ever come in my life. Sitting in the corner of my room along with a best friend of mine, I wept silently for months.

Days passed, weeks went by, months gone…..huh… how could such a thing happen to me? I never thought that I would ever reach this state. But I did have a small hope, somewhere in the remote corner of mind. It may happen some day. May be the time was not for it. May be the Lord is testing me. I knew my wish would come true some day. And it came true yesterday.

Yes! It did! Now my hopes are redeemed, my eyes are eaming with happiness and satisfaction. Ah….how wonderful the world is!

These are the feelings of my bed spread which was lying in corner of my room since September 2007. I think it the other four bed sheets and the four buckets of clothes shared the same feelings. But their await was not so long, it was a just little more than a month or so [:P]. It is really not my mistake. Not my laziness. For example I do wash the essentials clothes everyday [:P].

There was no washing machine working in our hostel except one. I did go to it one night in January to get my clothes washed. But it was so painful because I live in second floor and the damn machine was in ground floor. Finally after a long fight, two new washing machines were brought. But see the irony, they brought only two machines and placed one in first floor and the other in third floor. What sin did we, the second floor people commit? Anyway I had made up my mind that I must wash my clothes.
I started my work at three in the after noon yesterday. After persevering for about seven and a half hours all my clothes were washed! All the rooms in my wing had my clothes and bed sheets hanging in their room [:P]. People coming to the bathroom in the wing in third floor were stunned at my dedication! “You are still washing clothes!?” was their question. And my answer was a smile. [:)].
Believe me. It needs a lot of dedication, determination and devotion [ the 3 D,s] to wash clothes for seven and a half hours on a semi automatic washing machine situated a floor above yours.

Some of you may feel (especially IITians) why we should get pained so much to wash clothes. But it’s really worthwhile to put such effort to wash clothes. Ah… It feels so heavenly now that my clothes are washed [:)].

"Essence Of Life "

Old is Gold…. True. I watched Anand again today. It’s a 1970 Hindi Movie.

The movie shows the true essence of life. Anand makes an everlasting impact on everyone who watches the movie.

Maine tere liye hi saat rang ke sapne chune,
Sapne, surile sapne,
Kuch hansee ke, kuch gum ke,
Teri ankhon ke saye churaye rasili yaadon ne,
Maine tere liye hi saat rang ke...

Choti baaten,
Choti choti baaton ki hai yaadein bani,
Bhoole nahin bithi hui ek choti ghadi,
Janam janam se, aankhen bichaaye, tere liye in rahon
mein,
Maine tere liye ...

Bhole bhale,
Bhole bhale dil ko behlate rahe,
Tanhai mein tere khayalon ko sajate rahe,
Kabhi kabhi tho, aavaaz dekar, mujhko jagaya khabon
ne,
Maine tere liye ...

Roothi raatein,
Roothi hui raaton ko jagaya kabhi,
Tere liye bithi subah ko bulaya kabhi,
Tere bina bhi, tere liye hi, diye jalaye raaton mein,
Maine tere liye ...

2)

Kahin Door Jab Din Dhal Jaye
Sanjh Ki Dulhan Badan Churaye
Chupke Se Aaye
Mere Khayaalon Ke Aangan Mein
Koi Sapnon Ke Deep Jalaaye

Kabhi Yun Hi Jab Hui Bojhal Saansen
Bhar Aai Baithe Baithe Jab Yun Hi Aankhen
Kabhi Machal Ke Pyar Se Chal Ke
Chhuye Koi Mujhe Par Nazar Na Aaye
Kahin Door...

Kahin To Yeh Dil Kabhi Mil Nahin Paate
Kahin Pe Nikal Aaye Janmon Ke Naate
Thami Thi Uljhan Bairi Apna Man
Apna Hi Hoke Sahe Dard Paraaye
Kahin Door...

Dil jaane, mere saare, bhed ye gahare
Ho gae kaise mere, sapane sunahare
Ye mere sapane, yahii to hai.n apane
Mujhase judaa na ho.nge inake ye saaye, inake ye saaye
Kahii.n duur ...

3)

Zindagi ...kaisi hai paheli, haaye
Kabhi to hansaaye kabhi ye rulaaye
Zindagi...

Kabhi dekho man nahi jaage peechhe peechhe sapno ke bhaage
Ek din sapno ka raahi chalaa jaaye sapno ke aage kaha
Zindagi...

Jinhone sajaaye yaha mele sukh-dukh sang-sang jhele
Wahi chunkar khaamoshi yu chali jaaye akele kaha
Zindagi...

4)

naa, jiyaa laage naa
tere beenaa meraa kahee, jiyaa laage naa re

jeenaa bhoole the kahaa, yaad nahee
tuz ko paayaa hain jahaa, saans fir aayee wahee
jindagee tere siwaa, haay bhaaye naa
naa, jiyaa laage naa

piyaa teree baawaree se rahaa jaaye naa
tum agar jaao kabhee, jaao kahee
wakt se kahanaa jaraa, wo thhahar jaaye wahee
wo ghadee wahee rahe, naa jaaye naa

naa, jiyaa laage naa

CRC 103

10:00 am

IIT Madras.

Lecture 14 ?!? [ :0] fourteen?? What? How? When ?

T=M x B….ZZZzzzzzzzzz………… Diamagnetic magnetism…… ZZZzzzzzzzz…..change in M is opposite to the direction of applied magnetic field B……..ZZZZzzzzzzzz……… electrons are inside materials !!!! wow what a fact???

An aspiring look at the watch….. oh no!!! its just 10:25 ….. this means I have to bear this class for 25 minutes more??? Oh My Lord, what is my sin?

ZZZzzzzzzzz………… Divergence theorem!!!!! Yeah divergence!!! Thoughts diverge. Can I measure the flux of the thought field diverging from me??? Yeah, why not give it a shot?

The KVs law of thoughtatostatics :

The thought force is directly proportional to magnitude of thought source and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between in your bench and the prof.

The KVs divergence theorem:

The total flux through any brain is directly α amount of thought sources enclosed in the mind.

Ф= p T.

Where, Ф= flux

p= permthoughtivity constant

T= thought source

p=popr

po = permthoughtivity of free space

pr = permthoughtivity of the class. This exclusively depends on the prof and ranges from 1 to infinity.

(Cut copy paste from Griffiths: For those who do not know PH102… Griffiths is a reference book for the electrodynamics course)

“Now let us do a problem…. “. ZZZzzzzzzzzz….

“This problem is in an example problem in Griffith so you need not copy this down.”

[A universal truth da… ]

….ZZZzzzzzzzzz…..

Why am I a source in PH102 classes? A student is supposed to be a sink and the prof the source. The field lines of knowledge are supposed to be flowing from the prof to the students. But this never happened at all.

My thoughts diverge in this class. Kudos to the prof… he has the extraordinary ability to make me (and most of the junta in class) sleep in class. Thanks to him that I got an inspiration to write another blog after looooong loooong time [:P]

[Our Father in heaven Holy be Your name Your kingdom come Your will be done on earth as in heaven give us our daily bread…………..

I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever I will sing…. I will sing…..

I just keep trusting my Lord as I walk along…(as the class goes oooooon)… I just keep trusting my Lord and He gives me a song…. I just keep trusting my Lord…

There shall be showers of blessing… this is the promise of love …there seasons refreshing sent from the savior above………..

A sincere prayer to Thee…please end this torture.]

“Can I get back the attendance sheet?”

Applause….. God is Great… finally the class ends. Next torture session 22 Feb 8 am.

Then an isolated neuron picked up the signal and the information was passed on from neuron to neuron via dendrites. Oh… she is referring to our Friday’s Physics class. A vague and faint memory of my class from 8-8:50 am flashes. Yeah… our prof told something that sounded like Dirac Delta function…thanks to my ears which had made some attempt to hear something. I can remember what my teachers taught till class 12th better than anything I hear here… thanks to the slide shows.]

….. No I havnt written. Actually I dint understand….

A: oh.. actually nobody understood i suppose…he ran through it… k then. Can I hav your phy tute.
